Vice President, Business Banking

Michelle Safarian is Vice President, Business Banker for Capital One Bank.  She has more than 20 years’ experience in the banking and financial services industry. In her banking roles Michelle looks to provide a legendary experience to both her Internal & External Customers. She also looks to promote community involvement with her teams and give back to the community in which she serves. Prior to her role with Capital One, Michelle was the Branch Manager at People’s United Bank in Nesconset.

Michelle also worked previously for TD Bank, Bank of New York & Dime Savings Bank of New York.

In her current role she is responsible for new business development, relationship manager of existing clients and business lending.

Michelle’s community involvement is a passion that she is encouraged to partake within her current company. She is Secretary of the Board of Directors for the L.I. Against Domestic Violence (Suffolk County Coalition against Domestic Violence), as well as serving as the Chair for their Business Council, bringing Long Island businesses together to support the victims of Domestic Violence. She is a Board Member for the Nesconset Chamber of Commerce and Tyler and Madden’s Food Fight which supports pediatric food allergy research. In the past Michelle has also worked with the Smithtown Business and Professional Women’s Network and The Long Island Mentoring Partnership.

Over the past few years Michelle has been honored by both the local community as well as her employers. She received the Community Leader Nominee for TD Bank in 2012 and “Woman of Excellence” Award by the Smithtown Business and Professional Women’s Network in 2010.
